My 10 month kid is in fever for last seven days. The fever occurs after 5 hours frequency in a day. Fever has gone up to 101. Doc asked for certain tests. Urine routine ,culture tests have been negative. Crp serum or c-reactive protein has 44.6 value against the normal 6. Esr result has come at 26 against reference interval of 0-15. Doc has said these are not normal. Given cepodem 100 (3 ml) twice a day for 5 days and meftal p (3.5 ml) whenever fever comes. It's the third day of antibiotic now but no improvement in fever. Doc said this is infection and will take more days to cure. The kid meanwhile cries unbearably when fever comes. We are in deep pain and shock. The kid has had infections earlier too. I want to know how normal it is for kid to get respiratory and stomach infections and now thw current one. He has had three four infections already. Is something seriously wrong with the kid? Pls give answers in details thanks.
