Hello, scaling is a very superficial cleaning procedure which we do even in healthy teeth with deposits because it cleans at a very superficial level. As told by you are having gum disease periodontitis (pyorrhoea) so that require a deep round of cleaning and curettage. Sometimes other remedies like flap surgery, bone graft etc may be required based on the condition. So get one full mouth x-ray done and visit a nearby dentist for further treatment. Thanks.
