Hie, I am suffering from sore throat from the past 1 week. I had taken cpod, which lessened my throat ache, but I started getting coughs at night. I went to an ent specialist, she did few physical check up of my throat and ears and said everything is fine, and gave me mucolite and rabi d.i ate a little bit of oily food after that, and from night, I am having severe that and head pain while swallowing. My doctor has not prescribed anything for throat pain.

Most common cough during night times can be gerd (acid reflux) which constantly irritates your throat, as per your doctor it's very good medication. I would advice to avoid foods like oily, spicy food, chocolates, tea, coffee,sweets, banana,coconut water they increase the reflex along with above you can take syp mucaingel which helps in better results. This should be taken 5 minutes before food. Hoping for soon recovery thank you.
