Dear Lybrate User, a "blood in sputum" usually means chest infection (tb & others) unfortunately, no attempt has been made to identify the cause, although it is good that sputum afb is negative, you need a chest x-ray & CBC esr tests and a pulmonologist" s consultation, to identify the cause & fully treat it. Kindly contact on Lybrate consultation platform for better understanding your problem and treatment advice. Meanwhile please avoid sudden temperature changes, cold drinks, overexertion & pollution.
