My father is a 51 years old. His both the legs mostly the foot portion is swelling but don't have the pain. He mostly sitting in the chair and that time the legs are swelling very much. Sometimes he asked for knee pain but after medicines it is ok but the swelling problem is worried. Uric acid level is 6.2 and the sugar level is normal (after taking medicine). So please tell me what is this and which doctors we consult for better treatment.
Go for an immediate blood test including hb%, tsh, rbs, urea and creatinine. Further consultation will depend upon the results. If all of these are within normal limits, your father may need to consult a good cardiologist.
