Hi, I had one sexual encounter which was mainly oral sex, anal penetration wasn?t successful as I was the insertive partner but I could?t get even the head of my penis inside him. He is a close friend and when I asked if he had sexual partners before that penetrated him he said no there was never a penetration. So it was supposed to calm me that he hasn?t any std?s nevertheless 6 months later I was admitted to the hospital because I had a harsh cold believed to be a virus. They conducted a blood test, ultrasound, feces and urine ecg etc. (that?s how the system here works). And after two days they said I had acute respiratory virus. And I was cured days after. And the nurse said my tests came out normal my question is do hospitals regular test the patient?s blood for hiv as well? So when I was admitted that time does it count as an hiv test?

Dear user. Thanks for the question. Hiv spread through contact between broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes and hiv-infected blood or blood-contaminated body fluids. Deep, open-mouth kissing if both partners have sores or bleeding gums and blood from the hiv-positive partner gets into the bloodstream of the hiv-negative partner. Hiv can not spread through saliva. Take care.
