Hello Doctor, I recently got married and had unprotected sex few times. But my partner seems to be confident enough that he withdraw the semen during ejaculation. Now I am not getting my periods after my marriage. My marriage date was 23.12.2018 and the last period occurred was I am afraid that I may be pregnant. Last year I was facing PCOD problem but since February I am having regular periods too. Please suggest me what I can do to prevent pregnancy if in any case it has happened? It's now 10 days from my marriage. Please suggest?

This is important because pregnancy can happen if even a little bit of semen gets in the vagina. Emergency contraception can prevent pregnancy for up to 5 days after unprotected sex. The best way to make the pull out method effective is to use it with another type of birth control (like the ring, pill, or condoms).

You need to do UPT. Urine Pregnancy test should be done 10 days after missing your period. For example if your date was 10th, then do the test on 20th. Before that it can give false negative or false positive test.
