HI, I am 25 year old male, I got injured last year in a train derailment, doctors have done above knee amputation to save my life, doing so I got infection. I was on ventilator and undergone to second amputation, Now I'm completely fine going for prosthesis next month. I read some of blogs posted that "Amputees have shorter life span" and have to do hard exercises for a good life also do amputees have greater chances for diabetes? I have ectomorphic body type. Before amputation I was completely healthy, travels a lot and do exercises rarely.
