HI, my baby is 7 and half months old. She is taking around 200 ml cows milk, 2 time semi solid food of around 1/4th medium size bowl and 4 to 5 times breastfeed in a day and sometimes litter fruit like apple or banana. My pediatrician doctor suggested us to give her more solid food rather than cow milk. But my baby seems to be less interested in solid food. Please suggest me some foods or I can give her more cows milk as per need?

Hi lybrate-user you should not be giving cow's milk to the baby whose less than 1 year. Either breast feed or give formula feed. Foods given should be in addition to the milk and should not substitute milk as milk still forms an important part of the diet and is important for weight gain. Foods you can give can include fruit puree like apple puree mashed banana, watermelon puree etc, veg purees like pumpkin or carrot puree. Soups like veg or chicken soup, khichri, oats porridge, Dalia etc.
