Hi, you may require to take your medicine for a day or two more. Do review treatment progress with your physician once. Simultaneously, I would advise the following for relief - (a) healthy & balanced diet
with focus on fresh fruits/ leafy greens. Avoid yellow banana. Take a diet, with leafy greens including cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes etc. Fresh fruits including orange, amla, apples, pineapples, grapes etc help. Take hot carrot and tomato soup daily.
(b) consume flesh foods in moderation. Try avoiding constipation
at all costs.
(c) take plenty of water daily and stay hydrated.
(d) regularize life style, reduce stress
(e) protect yourself from intense heat/ cold air.
(f) do not take extremely hot/ cold/ spicy/ sour drinks as well as foods.
(g) warm saline gargling 2 - 3 times daily.
(h) gargle made of tulsi, cinnamon, turmeric or fenugreek seeds and honey are also beneficial.
(i) vitamin c tablets (limcee 500 mg) once daily before food for 7 days. Then after, take a tsp of good quality chyawanprash once daily for about 2 months.
