I had ACL reconstruction 4 months back. Physiotherapy is completed. Physio asked me to do certain exercises which I am doing on daily basis. However, for last few days I am getting pain just above and below the knee cap. Physio said that muscles are very weak. Do you suggest taking creatine for muscles. Will it help in anyway or suggest any other medicine for the same.

Hello, For your height you are a bit over weight (adorns 20-25 kg more). Now to balance your own weight the muscles around the knee need strength. Strength in the muscles can be increased by exercises. Creatine will help you exercise for longer time (as in muscle fatigue will be slightly delayed) which inturn will strengthen and bulk up your muscles. It will be beneficial only if your exercise routine is very vigorous and of high intensity. Taking creatine and not exercising won't help.
