I hv been prescribed to take febuget 40 for my uric acid which is 7.2 can I take this med for longer period to keep it under normal levels I hv no gout problem I took febuget 40 for one month but my uric acid remains at 7 mg/dl is 7.2 uric acid dangerous.

Normal Uric acid levels are 2.4-6.0 mg/dL (female) and 3.4-7.0 mg/dL (male). Normal values will vary from laboratory to laboratory. Also important to blood uric acid levels are purines. 7.2 is not dangerous and if you have no other illness, you can stop Febuget and keep regular checkup
