Hello Doctors, When is a good time to take Glycomet GP1? I take it before breakfast. My post breakfast and post lunch sugar levels look normal. But sugar levels rise in the evening. I am thinking whether to take the tablet in afternoon 1 PM (before lunch). Is it a good idea? Do you take insulin? No Frequency of high sugar instances: Sometimes Any tingling/numbness/cramps? No Typical frequency of hypoglycemia episodes: Rarely.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Tablet Glycomet GP1 is usually recommended before food, that is either breakfast or lunch. Since there is no mention of actual glucose levels like fasting & PP or Random, it is difficult to comment. You should also see the HbA1c%. Ideally fasing glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. That constitutes good glucose control. Thanks.
