My father aged 68, some 8 months back was diagnosed for Spine TB and he started on ATT. His Blood urea, BUN is high and so is creatinine 1.7. I consulted general physician and put him on nefrolex for 5 days. However, after taking this medicine he was complaining of back pain, joint pain, fever, mouth rash, loose stool and high glucose reading. Its a month since he has stopped, he is left with pain on the left lowest rib which he feels upon standing up or if that rib is pressed directly. Also doctor asked us to stop Azulix 1 and use Diamicron Mr. As he thinks metformin is not good with Kidney issue. He has no fever, urine is normal, sugar is normal, his eyesight has improved. We have eliminated almost all carbs barring greens, beans, salad and increased protein. What could be the cause of this type of back pain and if it is something to do with gastritis as we gave him darolac for 2 weeks as his stomach pain went off and his back pain also improved a little bit?
