I am suffering from constipation for many years despite taking 2 litres of water daily and consuming enough fruits and vegetables. Colonoscopy done in 2012 showed large bowel is long extended with multiple acute elongations. Piles surgery done in 2013 due to blood while passing motion. For last 5 years bleeding in once a while say once a month or so, mostly mild and does not last more than a day. Duphalac taken for a few years on and off with some relief (softer stools) but not consistent. lactifiber (Sun Pharma) being used for last 3 months with good results. Motions are 2 to 3 times a day mostly. Question is whether Lactifbre use would be permanent (quite costly) or there are other options.
