Rotavirus is the name of a wheel-like virus which causes diarrhea in human beings. The infection includes symptoms like mild fevers, diarrhoea, vomiting and even anorexia. The infections are highly contagious and can easily spread from one person to another. The incubation period is about 2 days. Rotavirus infections are responsible for the death of thousands of children around the world every year.
HOW IS ROTAVIRUS DIAGNOSED?
Infants and toddlers between 6-24 months of age are most susceptible to rotavirus infections.
