My mother had pain in right upper abdomen. After consulting to doctors ad diagnosis which included LFT, fibroscan (score=28, the doctor said liver has cirrhosis. How grave is this problem and how to proceed with medication?

Hey, Cirrhosis is a irreversible condition where the liver cells get destroyed and are replaced by scar tissue and ultimately compromising the liver functions like protein synthesis, caogulations factor synthesis, detoxification. Basically, as a supportive measure you need to supplement her with protein supplements, antibiotics,laxatives. Liver transplant is the only option. Wish your mother a speedy recovery!
