My mother having breast cancer and cancer is spread in her neck and shoulder as well. We taking treatment from Rajiv Gandhi cancer hospital Delhi. According to doctor stage is suppose to be last 4 the one. Dey are suggested for pfizer company medicine palbociclib .ascdey are giving free trial. My mother talking medicine from last one month but her health getting down after taking this medicine. Please confirm is that medicines are useful.

Palbociclib is a medication for metastatic hormone receptor positive breast cancer, which is combined with letrozole or fulvestrant, depending upon whether it's a first line treatment or for progression. It does increase the side effects, but the prolongation of life is significant. It does take a few months to show benefits. It is a costly drug (70-80k per month). It is good if you are getting it free. I presume she has bony metastasis. If yes, then hopefully she is on Bisphosphonate or Denosumab. If not, better to start the same. If metastatic then the aim of treatment is to slow the progression of the disease and maintain the quality of life. It is unlikely to cure the disease.
