I was diagnosed ckd 3b in 2013 when my serum creatinine was 2.36. With medicines and diet control and minimum required proteinsdiet, I have stabilised it at 1.40. Recently path tests of metro lab showed 1.19 and kailash path 1.40 with a difference of one hour test time. Both the labs claim their results. Any way tell me if I can improve my protein intake. I am 78 yrs. All other path tests are within normal limits. None of the causes for kidney disease apply to me except that I had undergone bypass surgery in1994. What should I eat now. I am a non drinker, vegetarian and non smoker, enjoying excellent health. No diabetes, normal b.P 110/70col.

Hello dear Lybrate user, Warm welcome to Lybrate.com I have evaluated your query thoroughly. This much result variation is absolutely normal with any branded laboratories even with same blood sample at same time. Protein intake should be maintained same as current state, should not be increased to create problems Hope this clears your query. Wishing you fine recovery.
