Im 29 years old married lady. I have so many doubts about copper T. I think this is the right place to clear my doubts without hesitation. please suggest answer s to my every question. Please. Can we place a copper T after an medical abortion? Will this insertion be painful? Will this really stops pregnancy? Will it causes any pain during periods? Is this be visible outside vagina? CopperT is inserted on 5-7 day of menstrual cycle ,it's an highly effective method of contraceptive, failure rate being <1%. It's a one time method ,can be inserted for 3, 5or 10 yrs, after its duration it has to be removed ,if you want early removal it can be removed earlier. At time of insertion there is slight pain, In some patients few cycles after insertion bleeding is slightly heavier but in 2-3 cycles it settles. It's not visible outside vagina and it does not cause any problem in intercourse or foreplay.
