I am going through hell, Please Reply me Its a humble request. Is there any chances of HIV transmission through used Potassium Alum (A stone like substance used as antiseptic) at barber shop? Incident Happen almost 1 year ago I have one pimple maybe it cut while shaving from a new blade at barber shop from where some blood come out, barber immediately spray water on my face and applies that Potassium alum to stop it (this Potassium Alum was not used for about 5 to 10 minutes at least), later I feared with thought that maybe it was a used alum, So please help me for any chances of HIV transmission in this case. I freaking tensed. I can't even concentrate on any work. I asked on some other online place the doctor said "there is no known issue but theoretically it is possible" after getting that response, I become too tensed, I am thinking that I will die soon. I am not afraid of death but I have Mom, Dad and My Little Sister whom I have to support. I can't even apply my mind on the facts, as per my little knowledge, not every blood contact transmit HIV. There should be enough amount of virus. I know that HIV virus can't live for long outside it dies but as per my knowledge virus never dies. I also researched little bit and I found that the pH of Alum is 3 - 4. And HIV is fully inactive at pH 5.5. Please clarify my doubts. Additional Information:- I never had sex so there is no case of unprotected sex but I already tested for HIV for 2 times (before that Barber Shop incident) all reports are negative. First time I got tested because of Tetanus because I don't know that the person who Injected that Tetanus used a previously used syringe or not. And Second time I got tested because of Mosquito. Now the situation is I fear from Syringe, Mosquito (It may sound funny but I also have fear while peeing and always having thought while peeing like If any mosquito squash under the skin cover of my Penis) and also have fear to go to Barber Shop even for Hair Cut I used my own trimmer to cut my hair. I can go for HIV Test but after that I think I may become more tense because they also use syringe to take blood from me. In Short I am going through hell Due to this HIV Issue.
