My father, aged 68, was recently in complete bed rest for the last 3 months and was taking akt 4 TB medications and now he is on AKT3 after being hospitalized and later diagnosed with Pott's spine. Recently as advised by doctor we did his haemogram, CRP, LFT and ESR. His LFT and haemogram came normal. His CRP is 15 and ESR is 102. When he was in hospital his CPR was 74. Is the high ESR indicating something serious? My concern is if he has been misdiagnosed.

Esr is just a prognostic indicator and not useful for diagnosis and depending on the symptoms we can get an MRI done after clinical examination
