Am 57 year old male 32 years worked in Gulf countries as a ship building supervisor. Am having knee pain while climbing stairs only upstairs downstairs has not got any issue. Could you advice any remedy.

Hello sir. Hope you are doing well. This is common condition called Patelofemoral pain syndrome. Also known as Anterior knee pain. Can happen due to repititive injury of soft tissue. At this age it is common due to ware and tare of tissues and ofcourse muscle imbalance and knee cap mal positioning, that's why when you climb up there is maximum load come on knee joint. There lots of pathophysiology can be involved. Remedy- BMD screening is must. Also visit to orthopaedic doctors and ofcourse consult a Physiotherapist for betterment.
