Hello doctor I am 30 week pregnant. Last week I went for the ultrasound they said as per the ultrasound your pregnancy is of 29 weeks and baby's growth is slow. My doctor also said baby growth is slow but she didn't give me the reasons why this is happening.in my whole pregnancy my in-laws family giving me lots of stress my husband too. Dats y m living a stressful life what should I do. May be bcz of this my weight is low. What should I do please suggest me.

Dear user If you were to write USG report better reply can be given Now coming to your problems. According to you are 30 weeks pregnant and USG it 29 weeks. Please understand that sonologist measures certain calculation which may differ if same person is done by another sonologist So 29-30 weeks is not a problem per se Now coming to intrauterine growth of baby being slow. To increase its growth kindly start eating as if you have to eat for two person Take 70-100grams of ground nuts 1 egg if non veg .Take 30-40grams of Amul butter/cheese/Asli Ghee. Now coming to your relatives problems. Believe in my clinical practice female laborer does work for a living and I think it's only God who really takes care otherwise my human understanding is surprise. Don't worry ,on ultrasound when the disparity is >2 weeks then it's called growth retardation, in your case disparity is only of 1 week ,that's normal. You should not take stress as that will have a negative effect on baby. For your and babies well being try to be happy, divert your attention in some constructive work, do regular exercises. Eat a healthy balanced ,protein rich diet.
