In primary stage of blood sugar in empty stomach it's 119 and after meal of two hours it's183 please guide me that which type of treatment and medicine I should take.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Your blood glucose levels (both fasting & PP) are showing that you are in a prediabetic state. WHich means if you do not take necessary precautions, the condition may progress towards franc diabetes. To remain free from that you will have to take a restricted diet, avoid sweets (reduce the intake), avoid deep fried foods, pastries, bakery items, junk foods, colas, foods made from maida. Consume more of green leafy vegetables salads and fruits. Refrain from alcohol and smoking. It is essentail to walk at least for 1 hour a day or do exercises in gym. Do not allow to increase the weight and see that your waist remains around 80 cms. Thanks.
