My age is 35 and recently developed some round spots under my both armpits. But don't have any itching or pain on those. Spots are round in shapes and light brown in colour. Use talcum powder on a daily basis. Also use deo spray regularly .want to know what these are. Please help.

Erythrasma is a skin condition caused by skin bacteria known as diptheroids. Heat and humidity favour its formation. The condition is characteristically asymptomatic. Treatment is usually with prescription drugs like clindamycin gel/lotion or oral antibiotics like doxycycline. 2.5% Benzoyl peroxide found in anti-acne products like Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Cream is an over the counter alternative. Apply very little amount over the affected area twice a day. If there is skin irritation mix it with a moisturizing cream to dilute it further. Use for 1 month. Try and keep the area as dry as possible. Visit a Dermatologist personally if the condition still persists.
