Hello dear lybrate-user, hi Welcome to Lybrate.com I have evaluated your query thoroughly.* Acute on chronic kidney disease means that patient is having already long standing kidney disease (which is manifested at present in acute condition due to variety of factors.) Hope this clears your query. Regards.

Hi lybrate-user, I understand your concern. This means that there is further deterioration of kidney function due to acute onset kidney problem in kidneys which are already compromised.
