I 67 yrs, Type 2 Diabetes since 6 years .On 5 July 17 - Amylase -207 U/L, Lipase- 285.(method- Enzymatic Colorimetric Assay, by Thyrocare) but by SRL Diagnostics on 25 July 17 -Amylase-90 U/L & Lipase -242 (method- spectrophotometry - Ref. Interval units- 73-393? By thyrocare report range is 13-60 U/L? In ultrasound my pancreas is normal, I have no physical symptoms of pancreatitis. What I should do?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Please tell me why did you go for those enzyme tests? Is there any problem or just because the offer was there from Thyrocare? Most important is to keep your blood glucose in good control with fasting < 100 mg, PP 160 to 180 mg & HbA1c% <7. If you have no symptoms bothering please ignore those results. Another important thing to remember is to reduce your weight, with a BMI of 26.95 kgs/M2, you are overweight. Your ideal body should be about 55 kgs. Therefore, please look at your diet and exercise. Do not worry about other things. Thanks.
