Respected lybrate-user, hi Warm welcome to Lybrate.com I have evaluated your query thoroughly.* The hiatus hernia induced ulcer heals with proper medications, dietary restrictions. No surgery is required for that purpose.* Surgery is mandatory to - cure hernia - control those symptoms or problems that are not coming under control by medicines - very large hernia with possibility of future complications - respiratory problems - patient concerns. Hope this will help you for sure. Still better look out can be possible with the reports attached of the endoscopy if possible. Can opt for private consultation. Wishing you fine health and happy Diwali in advance. Regards dear take care.
