I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you hernias generally grow larger due to pressure on them, such as a loop of your intestine or fatty tissue pushing into the weak abdominal tissue or tear. The result is a sac that forms in the abdominal wall. You may or may not see a bulge at this point. As more abdominal contents push into the sac, a bulge will appear. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Most patients with umbilical hernias first notice a belly button bulge or discomfort. Over time these hernias can get larger and more uncomfortable as the hernia sac gets pushed out from inside the abdomen. Like other hernias, an umbilical hernia in an adult will not go away or get better without treatment. Better to repair it surgically immediately. If can not decide immediately, then meet some yoga expert to learn yoga inverted postures to get some relief till you decide.

Hello doctors, is epigastric hernia surgery complicated? I mean do I seek a general surgeon who is well experienced or a 10 years experienced urologist who is a relative, would also perform the surgery well? I mean with due respect to all doctors, I am concerned as my inguinal hernia surgery has left me with chronic pain still. Does the mesh quality matter too?

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. The primary complications of any operation are bleeding and infection but these are uncommon with umbilical hernia repair. There is a slight risk of injury to the intestines, blood vessels and nerves. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Surgery is the only way to fix an inguinal hernia. The doctor will push the bulging tissue back inside and strengthen your abdominal wall with stitches and perhaps mesh. They might be able to do this through a small cut in your belly using a special tool, a procedure called laparoscopy. I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. While alcohol is a known contributing factor to acid reflux, it affects people differently. This means that you may be able to enjoy alcoholic beverages in moderation with gerd. Someone else with gerd may experience worsening symptoms of heartburn after drinking a small amount of alcohol. I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. People with hiatal hernias should avoid exercises that strain the abdominal muscles, such as sit-ups and crunches. People should also be wary of weightlifting. Lifting heavy weights, or even heavy boxes or furniture, can strain the abdomen and make the hernia worse.
