I am 22 week pregnant. My ultrasound done yesterday which shows that - (placenta posterior ,the lower edge covering os. I have heard that if someone has low lying placenta she has to go through c section delivery. Is it true? How can my placenta goes up? Please help. This is my 2nd pregnancy. Previous was a missed abortion and d&c had done at 9th week.

As the uterus size increases placenta migrates upwards ,ultrasound is done at 34 weeks to see if placenta has migrated or not. If placenta does not migrate you will have to undergo elective caeserian section at about 37-38 weeks of pregnancy. Till then you should restrict your activities, do not do heavy work and abstinence should be maintained. ,ultrasound
