My son 8 years is intelligent but has no friends in class. Mostly he will not talk and tell me nobody talks to me. I always find him sitting quiet and on friendship day he wa s very sad as he did not get any band. How to deal with this situation and make him talk and active. Pls help.

Hi lybrate-user! Good that you have come forward to find a solution for your son at this initial stage, bcoz this problem has to be sorted out as soon as possible. First you need to encourage him to talk with neighbours from small age to Adults, keep encouraging. Try to make him participate in social activities. Slowly you can find out boys of his kind to interact, allow him to interact. Just closely watch his behavior, try to find if he has any different kind of behavior that affects him from having a healthy relationship. First encourage him to make friends with guys who are also comfortable and adjusting with his relationship. If any problem try to correct him by talking to him in a friendly way. Just teach him how he needs to have friends. If you still find there is difficulty in him getting along with others, you can seek a Professional Psychologist help to overcome this problem at your locality.
