Male 46, weight 86 kgs, height 172.5 cms Known to be hypertensive from the age of 30. Current medication-Losartan 50 mg & cilnidipine 10 mg. Having occasional palpitations and chest discomfort since 2 months. BP in the range of 150/100, 130/100. TSH Value-6.43 Renal doppler- Normal RFT-Normal (Creatine 1.1) Renin activity-Normal Aldosterone-Normal Diagnosis-Essential hypertension. Do I need any further evaluation.

Yes you do Get an ECG, ECHO, Lipid profile and holter monitoring done. Keep a daily BP record for 2 weeks. If you bp is > 140 /90 for more than half the time then you need to increase your hypertension medication.
