My father is 65 years old, presently his blood test report shows blood urea-66 mg/dl, Serum creatinine -1.7 mg/dl, Neutrophil -80% lymphocyte -16%,leukocytes - 11800/cumm, blood sugar PP -166 mg/dl, HB%-8.6. Please guide me how it should handled.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. With urea 66 mg and creatinine 1.7 mg, it appears he has developed problem with his kidneys. Plus high WBC count also indicates that there is presence of systemic some infection. Your information regarding his diabetes is very inadequate. Please let me know FBG, Pp & HbA 1c%, present medications with dosage. Plus following details: Lipid profile, height, extent of daily exercise, dietary pattern and BP readings. His hemoglobin also seems to be fairly low, showing he has anemia. To me it is necessary to control is diabetes very strictly, similarly is BP too should be well controlled. Unless I get all the details, it is difficult to give any specific opinion or advise. Thanks.
