It depends upon lactation. Some women do get pregnant while lactating and gap between 2 kids is 9 months plus. Get an intrauterine device fitted after ruling out pregnancy by urine test which can be deceptively positive during 40 days of post partum period reflected by previous pregnancy ultrasound can be more reassuring about no pregnancy why I am suggesting above is that some women do continue with the baby while intrauterine device fitted is intact and inplace oral. Pills are secreted through milk. Don't take pills don't depend upon local methods as failure rate is high.
