Hi, Hemoglobin level of 5.85 is very very low. It is not advisable to plan pregnancy at such a stage. Give your wife a healthy diet rich in iron content so that the hemoglobin should atleast be 10 -11. Some iron rich foods include: dark green keafy vegetables like spinach, beans, dry fruits like raisins (kismis) and apricots, anjeer, iron-fortified foods, eggs, fish, meat, chicken (if non-vegetarian. Include fruits in daily diet. She should have 2-3 chapatis, rice, vegetable, dal, / non-veg, salad in lunch & dinner. Also eat something heatlh after every 2 -3 hours to gain weight.

Hello, Masturbation and anaemia have no connection. Eat high protein and iron and folate rich diet to ensure you treat anaemia and then conceive. Anaemic mothers are prone to either miscarriage, low birth weight babies with mental defects. Intravenous iron transfusion might also be needed as the levels are very low.
