About Tron Drop

Tron Drop belongs to the antiemetics drug group that is used for treating nausea as well as vomiting, caused by other medical treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. This medicine will block the chemical serotonin from releasing in your gut and your central nervous system. This will prevent vomiting and nausea. Tron Drop is available in four different forms that can be taken orally; tablet, disintegrating (dissolving) tablet, solution and film. It also comes in an IV (intravenous) form that can be injected to your body by a doctor. You can take it with food or without food.

Tron Drop can be used alone as well as in a combination with other medicines for preventing vomiting and nausea that one experiences after a surgery, chemotherapy or radiation session. This medicine, belonging to the drug group named antiemetics, blocks serotonin, a natural substance present in the body that is known to cause vomiting. Tron Drop is available both in tablet and liquid form. You can also take it in the IV form, when injected by a medical practitioner.

Your doctor must be informed if you are allergic to Tron Drop as well as other medications that block serotonin, along with any other allergies that you have. He/ She must also know about your medical history and if you had problems such as liver disease, irregular heartbeat and stomach or intestinal problems in the past. Apart from that, you must also inform the doctor if you are under any medication for depression or any psychiatric disorder.

The dosage of Tron Drop is decided after taking your medical condition into account and how responsive your body is to therapy. In case of children, the dose also depends on their weight and age. If you are undergoing chemotherapy, you need to take Tron Drop orally half an hour before your treatment starts. In case of radiation, take it 1-2 hours before the procedure of treatment begins. For preventing nausea before a surgery, it is advised to take the medication an hour before your surgery. In case you miss a dose, you can take the medication once you remember it. If it is already time for the next dose, ensure that you do not take two doses to make up for the missed dose.
