About Nether Injection

Nether Injection is used for chloroquine resistant malaria, falciparum malaria and other cerebral malaria cases. It kills malarial parasites by interacting with heme.

Some side effects that this medicine could cause include headache, general weakness, nausea, leg pain, chills, vomiting, cough, pain at injection site, body ache, abdominal pain, dizziness, rigours and watery diarrhoea. It could also cause pneumonia, respiratory tract infections and weight gain.

Before using Nether Injection, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, non-prescribed products, pre-existing diseases, allergies and current health conditions including pregnancies, disorders and surgeries. Inform your doctor if you have HIV or any heart problems. Some health conditions may increase the risk of side-effects of the drug.

Dosage depends on your medical condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Stop taking this medicine if you experience persistent and severe side effects from the drug. Nether Injection is available as a an intramuscular injection. The usual dosage for adults suffering from acute malaria due to Plasmodium falciparum is 150 mg, taken once daily for 3 consecutive days.
