Sir I am having problem in my throat. Generally I am suffered from cough and cold. I am a teacher. My school is in dusty atmosphere outside the city. I have to speak loudly to control and teach the students. From 25 to 30 days some times I feel tightness in my throat It's appear that some one pressed my neck from outside. I am feeling dryness in throat. Please suggest me what should I do.

You are suffering from cough and cold. As you said this may be due to polluting atmosphere. But the other complaints like dryness in throat and suffocation needs to be examined by a doctor. In my opinion this may be due to stress you are going through.

Keep drinking water to keep throat wet. Do saline gargles. Avoid cold and sour foods. No relief then ENT examination.

You maybe suffering from viral or allergic rhinitis and pharyngitis. You need to avoid the cause of your allergies and also take anti allergy medications. Please consult for prescription. If you have an infection and have fever you will need to do a course of antibiotics. For now do warm saline gargle and steam inhalation 3 times a day.
