I am having a cracking sound in my ears only when swallowing with no other symptoms I believe because while smoking I inhaled some smoke through my nose.

Hi lybrate-user this is frequently a problem when fluids accumulate on the middle ear (the part behind your ear drum) smokers are inclined to have poor mucociliary clearance which can cause this problem.
