Sedentary lifestyle & poor diet are major contributors to obesity nowadays. Start brisk walking daily for an hour (pref early morning). Walk instead of hiring a transport (as much as possible). Do not sit continuously for an hour. Take 15 mins light walk after meals & do not sleep within 1 hour of main meals. Have small frequent meals. Include plenty of whole fruits & vegetables in your diet. Drink 3 litres water daily. Avoid soft drinks, alcohol, fast/ processed/ packaged/ ready to eat/ instant foods, table salt, sugar & related products. Replace refined grains like maida, rice, bread, biscuits, noodles with whole grains like atta, bajra, ragi, jowar, barley, oats.
