Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Well diet alone may not sole his problems although recommendation will be for diabetic diet with high calcium containing diet, fresh fruits and vegetables although you can get a diet chart planned for him from a good nutritionist. Also my advice will be to get some blood tests done for him empty stomach like: cbc, esr, crp, serum electrolytes, serum vitamin d levels and send these reports across to me so that I can advise for adequate supplementation as well.
