Bleeding during pregnancy should always be investigated by ultrasound to find out everything is normal.

Usually during pregnancy there is no bleeding from the vagina. Even if it is pin drop size, it could be a sign of an" abortion process" so get examined by a gynecologist and they might sugegst some test like sonography to check for any internal uterine bleeding, and baby's heart beats. If the reports show baby is fine, usually they will just give you some medicines and some injections to prevent the abortion process. All abortions can not be prevented. Abortions happen for many reasons, but the major reason is an abnormality of the baby which makes survival impossible. So even if baby is fine and you are on medications, the abortion process may at times be curbed, but sometimes, inspite of taking these medicines, abortion does happen!
