I am unmarried girl having right endometriosis cyts of size 4.4 cm on mri showing some adhesions. Have pain which is tolerable. Whether surgery required? If so after surgery is it necessary to use mirena / dienogest till pregnancy to prevent recurrence? Whether there will be any complication if we controlled periods for more than a year?

If symptoms are not tolerable or cysts are multiple or more than 6 cm, surgery is indicated. Dienogest would be required to prevent recurrence. There are no complications in controlling periods rather there is relief and chances of pregnancy increase.

Lap surgery for endometrioma and adhesiolysis recommended. Depending upon the perop finding further treatment is decided if required.
