My mother 76 years old (current creatinine 1.3) was detected via usg kub around 3 months back with a 6 mm calculi in the lower pole and 4 mm calculi in the mid pole of right kidney. She had another 3.1 mm calculi in the mid pole of left kidney. She was on aquazide 12.5 one tablet each for 1 month and portrate mb6 syrup 10 ml thrice daily mixed with water for 3 months. Now after three months, an ultrasound was performed but the size and position of the stones are the same. The lower pole seems difficult to come out. Is it better she undergoes laser surgery to break the stones considering she is 76 years and the associated risk of kidney stone complications in adult 70+ females. In addition, reluctantly she tried homeopathy (under pressure of family members) but yes she was correct homeopathy does not work for kidney stones in her case.

It depends on her symptoms. If she has recurrent pain/ recurrent uti, fever, hematuria, then she needs treatment for stones. If she is asymptomatic, then we can simply follow her after full assessment of number and size of stones with help of ct scan.
