I suffer from wisdom tooth problem, wherein the tooth completely inside the gum and the flaps of the gums are slowly opening. I have already undergone a wisdom tooth extraction surgery in the past almost a year back and have well aware about the after effects of the surgery which is really painful. I do not wish to go through the same trauma. Hence want to know any other option or medication apart from surgery.

kindly do warm saline gargles and you can take a pain killer like tab zerodol sp incase of severe pain. kindly get an x-ray done of the wisdom tooth. if there is space for it too erupt completely then let it erupt and keep the area clean and do warm saline gargles. but if there is not sufficient space for it to erupt then kindly get it extracted or else it will keep on giving you trouble.

Dear lybrate-user, if your wisdom tooth is not erupting properly as surrounding ones and it is indeed painful and cause damage to the just next tooth behind it you must go for surgical extraction. Otherwise your safe. Just do warm saline mouth bathe 2-4times daily and rinse your mouth with some antiplaque mouthwash for better result.
