Getting out of depression: get in touch with your body my friend. Understand how your body and posture works. When a person gets angry, his traps and back get tensed. When a person is happy his muscles in the belly are relaxed. When a person is depressed, his posture is fallen, his back is hinged, his neck is on the ground. Change the way you walk, sit and stand. Whenever you feel depressed start walking fast, arms moving, looking up, chest out and shoulders back, walking like you are the god of this planet. I guarantee you if you do that there is no way in hell you will feel depressed. Meditate properly. Remember keeping yourself in a specific manner while meditating is against the purpose of meditation. In meditation you have to let it go. Just focus on your breathing. Breathe into you belly. Most people just breathe normally it ain?t gonna work. Breathe deep and expand your belly and hold the breathe for 2 seconds and the release. It will release all the tension in the muscles that are associated with happiness, your stomach especially. Workout in a good gym. This way not only will you get out of your comfort zone, you will socialize with new people who are on the same track as you and because you are holding a lot of tension and emotion, working out will help you let it out. You will see that you behave differently after you workout, the tension in different parts of your body will be released and you will feel calm and peaceful. Plus working out of course helps in the release of hormones like dopamine which will make you feel better but again that is a temporary high. Be more assertive and express your self. Go to a psychiatrist or psychologist and share everything with them. From your childhood to your inner thoughts. Share with them everything, discuss your problems and especially the way you are feeling. Plus, start writing a diary and note down how you feel everyday and different events that occur throughout the day. Exploit every single minute and make it work to your advantage. Enjoy each hour by doing something new. Sketch, draw, paint, write, hang out, watch a movie. Finally make yourself realize that people are good. That people have everything you need. The money, fame, connections, power, it is other people that have all the things that you need.
