Hi I am a mother of 20 months old girl. And I found out I am 8 weeks pregnant. It was not planned but the concern is actually my husband was taking finax (finasteride tablet) and if we were to plan he had to stop this medicine at least before 6 months and he is taking it from 2 yrs. Now we are really confused what should we do should we abort or what. Because we have read about finax side effects on fetus specially if its a male. Please any concerned doctor can guide on this issue.

If the medication is taken by yourself then we can think about miscarriage and abnormality in the baby. Since its done by the husband. There is no worries but still you can do nt scan @ 11 weeks to 13 week s+ 6 days to rule out anomalies. Don't terminate the baby without confirming.
