Good evening lybrate-user. First of all, don't let your acne define you. Acne usually starts during the teenage years and generally settles down as one grows older. Follow your current doctors advice regarding acne. Retinoids are actually based on vitamin a.most common side effects are usually from improper application or practises. So you don't need to worry on that front. Acne scars require specialized care. There are many options when it comes to acne scars. You need to find a dermatologist you are comfortable with and start treatment and be compliant with it. There will be considerable improvement in your acne scars once proper treatment is done, but don't expect 100% results as it is impossible. Acne scar treatment is usually started once acne is under control if no other contrindications. In the meantime, make these changes in your daily diet. Avoid junk food of all sorts. Switch out high glycemic index food for low glycemic index options. Avoid milk for a month and see if it helps with your pimple break outs. Any menstrual cycle issues will need investigating. Avoid undue stress and get plenty of sleep and regular exercise.

Hello. Do not worry much as acne is commonly experienced in this age group. Yes you can use adapalene clindymycin gel (if prescribed by a dermatolgist) bcause these are the first line of topical medications for acne. Must use a sunscreen (twice daily) depending upon your skin type (dry skin/ oily skin) .and depending upon the grade of acne oral medications are also advised for faster control. Visit nearest dermatolgist. Thanks.
