Ms. sharma has diabetes since last 6 years and also has ckd. She was feeling severe shortness of breath and wasn't able to sleep the whole night. We brought her to the hospital and she was admitted in the icu. Her echo showed an ef of 36%. She was put on oxygen for few days and she became better. She was moved to the ward as she was much better. While in the ward she stayed ok for 2 days and then the third day she had loose motions. The loose motions were there for two days and after two days after she pooped she suddenly collapsed and her heartbeat pulse etc stopped (cardiac arrest). She was given some chest pumping after which the heartbeat came back. She was moved back to the icu, however, in the icu there was another similar arrest that happened and she was given adrenaline injection after which the heart started again but she lost her consciousness. She has been unconscious for last 50 hrs now. What should we do? Do we lose all hope now. She is on ventilator now.
